Pittsburgh Steelers
The Pittsburgh Steelers are members of the North Division of the American Football Conference (AFC) in the National Football League (NFL). The Steelers were founded in 1933, and are the oldest and winningest franchise in the AFC. The Steelers have played in six Super Bowls and are one of just three teams that have won the Super Bowl five times.
The Steelers have also been in 13 Conference Championship Games and share the distinction of having hosted more conference championship games than any other NFL franchise. From 1974 to 1979 the Steelers set a record by wining four Super Bowl titles in six seasons, an accomplishment that hasn’t been matched since. The 2005 Steelers is the only sixth-seeded team in NFL history to advance to get to their conference championship game, and they went further than that and won the Super Bowl on February 5, 2006. There are seventeen Steelers players and coaches that have been inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame, the fourth most of any NFL franchise. The Steelers are the fifth-oldest franchise in the NFL. They were originally the Pittsburgh Pirates, founded in 1933, by Art Rooney.
Unusually, Steeler ownership has stayed within the Rooney family ever since, and I would say is one of the best ownership in all of professional sports.
The current owner Dan Rooney (Art’s son) has given much control of the franchise to his son Art Rooney II. The Steelers are also fortunate in that they enjoy a rabid national fanbase rivaled by few teams in the world.
Well the Pittsburgh Steelers are the only home team left standing after a wild divisional playoff weekend, and now take on the Ravens in what should be an incredible game. All of Pennsylvania is looking high and low for Pittsburgh Steelers AFC Championship Game tickets, and with a team this talented its no wonder why. Big Ben has looked sharp all season, and the team has been able to get big drives and big plays when they needed to. Its not going to be easy againts a tough Ravens team, but the Steelers have shown they have what it takes to win the big games.
Because the Pittsburgh Steelers have such a rabid following, it is sometimes tough to find Steeler tickets, and now with them in the post-season, Steeler playoff tickets are even harder to get a hold of. And when you do manage to get your hands on a pair, they are not always the best seats in the house. While it may be ideal to have season tickets, or to jump in line and get Steeler tickets when they go on sale, if you wait you still have some options.
What I’ve found is the best though is to buy your Steeler tickets through a ticket broker. These guys pretty much buy a bunch of tickets and then try to sell them at a profit. Sometimes you can get some really cheap Steeler tickets. Especially for the playoffs, its been my experience that Ticket Liquidator is the best place to buy Steeler Super Bowl tickets. They usually have a bunch of tickets to choose from, and their prices are cheaper than other sites on the web.
You can try sites like Stub Hub or Ticketmaster, but I’ve found their prices are overpriced or non-existent. Anyway, if you manage to get your hands on them, you are guaranteed to have a great time, so don’t wait and get your Steeler tickets ASAP. You’ll be glad you did.
